Job Description:
We are seeking a Manager for our Vintage Department — an experienced, hands-on professional with a strong background in rag yard operations, vintage picking, curation, and team leadership, who will serve as the primary point of contact for our vintage clients.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience quantity vintage picking, with proven ability to identify premium vintage and designer pieces. This position requires both strategic management and active participation in the daily sorting, selection, and quality control of vintage items.
The manager will work alongside the team, actively participating in sorting and selection, while also recruiting, training, and mentoring new vintage sorters to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new vintage sorters.
· Work directly on the floor, actively sorting and curating vintage and premium clothing, accessories, and leather goods in line with brand expectations and sourcing goals for Rokit UK – rokit.co.uk.
· Lead, motivate, and supervise the vintage sorting team to achieve daily and weekly sourcing targets.
· Provide continuous training and coaching on quality standards, product identification, and efficiency to the vintage sorting team, as to the Clothing Sorters as well.
· Identify authentic, high-quality, and on-trend vintage pieces suitable for Rokit UK stores.
· Develop strategies to optimize sorting accuracy, reduce rejections, and enhance product value.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in vintage clothing quantity picking (minimum 3 years preferred).
Deep understanding of vintage fashion eras, fabrics, designer labels, and high value merchandise.
Excellent leadership, training, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and operational management abilities.
Ability to work full-time on-site (8-hour shifts).
Proactive, hands-on work ethic — comfortable managing and participating in sorting operations.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: CA$65,000–CA$75,000 per year (based on experience).
