We’re looking for an Operator who thrives on accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork. In this vital role, you’ll turn blueprints into real parts by interpreting Bills of Materials (BOMs), staging materials, and operating key equipment like forklifts, bandsaws, and CNC plasma cutters.

You’ll be a key player in our pre-process team—helping to keep workflow smooth, organized, and on schedule. If you’re reliable, a strong communicator, and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you.

Benefits of Employment – Why work at SCS?

  • Matching RRSP contributions
  • Benefits after 3 months (health & dental premiums are 100% employer-paid)
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Priority access to TELUS Health Virtual Care (access to a doctor 24/7, 365 days a year)
  • Annual financial donations to volunteer organizations directly supported by our employees
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program
  • Supportive, respectful, and forward-thinking leadership team that values employee input and ideas

Compensation

  • $26 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

What You’ll Do

  • Read and interpret BOMs and nests to identify materials and specifications.
  • Safely retrieve, stage, and transport materials using forklifts and/or a Combi lift.
  • Precisely measure, label, and sequence parts for production.
  • Deliver materials to the correct bay or “cell” as required.
  • Inspect parts for quality—ensuring everything is straight, square, and up to spec.
  • Monitor tool wear and consumables; perform blade maintenance as needed.
  • Keep the material yard and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Completion of in-house training provided by the Lead Operator.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions (dust, noise, temperature).
  • Willingness to wear PPE and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, crouching, lifting, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear, legible handwriting and solid computer skills (Excel and time-tracking apps).
  • Manual dexterity with a focus on precision.
  • Ability to stay productive independently while communicating effectively with your team.
  • Availability for overtime as needed.
