Merlin Plastics Group, a leader in sustainable plastics manufacturing and recycling, is currently hiring a Maintenance Helper to support our operations in New Westminster, BC. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Support: Assist with daily equipment maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Inventory Control: Help manage materials, track stock levels, and maintain organized storage systems.
  • Operational Support: Contribute to the implementation of new programs and procedures to improve plant efficiency.
  • Forklift Assistance: Support material handling; forklift experience is an asset but not required. Training may be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Technical Skills: Comfortable using Excel and learning other tools for maintenance and inventory tracking.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in documentation, inventory counts, and routine checks.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team-oriented setting.
  • Physical Ability: Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Assets:

  • Experience operating a forklift (Valid forklift license is a plus, but not required)
  • Previous experience in maintenance, warehouse, manufacturing, or recycling environments
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or maintenance tracking software
