This Heavy Equipment Operator role is a strong opportunity for those with experience operating balers, skid steers, material handlers, and other heavy machinery in an industrial setting. The position focuses on supporting safe and efficient yard operations through metal sorting and grading, equipment operation, and teamwork with internal staff and transportation partners.

  • Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
  • Pay: $28.00 per hour
  • Work week schedule: Monday – Friday (afternoon/evening shift) with some overtime opportunities

The heavy equipment operator role will operate the Baler and support other heavy duty equipment like skid steers, material handlers, etc.

Essential Functions of the Heavy Equipment Operator

  • Supports company environmental, health, safety, security practices and policies
  • Sorting and grading of incoming metal deliveries from suppliers and customers
  • Facilitating production efficiency and productivity while never accepting lower quality
  • Works together with other team members, and transportation companies
  • Experience with forklifts, trucks and heavy machinery
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Class-5 drivers license with clean drivers abstract
