Job Description – Truck Driver The Bottle Depot Position Overview The Bottle Depot is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Truck Driver to join our expanding commercial recycling team. This role is essential to supporting our pick-up operations throughout Greater Vancouver. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, strong problem-solving abilities, and confidence driving a 5-ton truck in dense urban areas, including Downtown Vancouver. The majority of pickups will be serviced loading either roller totes or an electric pallet jack onto a power tailgate. Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled commercial recycling pick-ups across Vancouver and surrounding regions.
• Safely operate a 5-ton truck, including maneuvering in tight alleys, busy downtown streets, and commercial loading bays.
• Perform both dock-to-dock pick-ups and hand-loaded stops depending on customer requirements.
• Use a power pallet jack and power tailgate for loading and unloading materials.
• Deliver superior customer service and maintain a professional, courteous presence at all times.
• Communicate with logistics regarding route progress, customer notes, delays, or challenges.
• Complete a daily end of day report outlining any notes, and if any pickups could not be completed and why.
• Maintain accurate service records, manifests, and load documentation.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and road regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract required).
• Experience operating 5-ton trucks in urban environments; Downtown Vancouver experience is an asset.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, overnights and occasional weekends.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and teammates.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions at pick-up sites.
• Comfortable using a power jack and power tailgate (training available).
• Ability to lift and move materials for hand-loaded stops as required.
• Air Brake Endorsement considered a strong asset.
• Steel toe boots and long pants are required- reimbursements available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
