Apprentice Millwright Industrial Mechanic
Position Title: Apprentice Millwright Industrial Mechanic Classification: Full-Time
Department: Service/Projects/Fabrication
Report To: Lead Hand Millwright / Owner Work Schedule: As required by customers, Overtime

By concentrating our attention on the recycling industry, we have developed technicians specifically trained to quickly trouble shoot and respond to problems that are unique to the recycling industry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works day to day with a good customer base to establish maintenance goals and procedures. Provides on-site service in a timely and professional manner to a growing recycling industry.
- Repairs and Installs recycling machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments, using welding equipment, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Fabricates, moves, assembles and installs equipment, such as conveyors, balers, platforms and other industrial equipment, using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, man lifts, jack and roll equipment, cranes and other large industrial equipment.
- Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Works with other trades and contractors to successfully complete small to mid-sized projects and equipment rebuilds.
- Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
- Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
Assists in formulating departmental strategic plan.
Serves as a member of various employee and organizational committees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have own tools for daily tasks.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
Interest in enrolling in Millwright program
Valid driver’s license
Bondable to work in secured areas.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing / Industrial environment; will be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting up to 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
